Sawubona @Fongcwele. Unjani (but I'm going to stop now before I embarrass myself publicly). Was wondering if we could take some pictures of local libraries in KZN? For example, I've just visited the Howck Library and they look like they are doing good things there. Strength to you for the new year. Derek J Moore (talk) 09:10, 15 uMasingana 2026 (UTC)Reply
I'm not based in KZN. I'm in Gauteng, infact I have never been to KZN. But I like your idea. I think we will have to consult the other users based in KZN if they can do this. Fongcwele (talk) 10:13, 15 uMasingana 2026 (UTC)Reply
Maybe we need to first collect all the usernames in the wiki, and try to convince them to activate their user ames and maybe create a group/forum chat with them Fongcwele (talk) 16:12, 29 uMasingana 2026 (UTC)Reply
That’s a good idea. Or perhaps we can encourage people to have a common badge. See this circled example. These are examples of userboxes that I place on my sandpit Here is one example Derek J Moore (talk) 06:26, 30 uMasingana 2026 (UTC)Reply
It does not work on Zulu Wikipedia (that's why it is red)
Step 3 Add it to your sandbox on English Wikipedia. Change some of the code. If you get that right, then I'll start configuring the template for Zulu Wikipedia. Derek J Moore (talk) 12:17, 30 uMasingana 2026 (UTC)Reply
It appears like the SWIP project when it introduces new users, it does not encourage them to create their user pages or activate them. it stops at the account creation. Im noticing that a lot of new isizulu wikipedia users, do not have userpages. Fongcwele (talk) 10:22, 31 uMasingana 2026 (UTC)Reply
Wow. That's awesome. Have you spoken to Herschal? Or would you like me to try and get one of these mass communication tools in Wikimedia working. No promises. I have not used them before. Derek J Moore (talk) 18:37, 4 uNhlolanja 2026 (UTC)Reply
