Lolu uhlu lwamanyuvesi aseNingizimu Afrika. Kulolu hlu, amakolishi namanyuvesi achazwa njengezikhungo ezigunyaziwe, izikhunfi ezinikeza iziqu. Kusukela ngo-Septemba 2022, yizikhungo zomphakathi zaseNingizimu Afrika ezinikeza iziqu kuphela ezingazibiza ngokuthi "amanyuvesi", kuyilapho ezinye izikhungo zangasese ezenza inzuzo noma ezingenzi inzuzo zivame ukuzibiza ngokuthi amakolishi, izikhungo noma izikole zohwebo.
Ezinye zalezi zikhungo zangasese ziyizikhungo zasendaweni eziphethwe amanyuvesi waphesheya. Izikhungo ezinikeza iziqu (zasobala nezangasese) kufanele zibhaliswe, futhi izinhlelo zazo zeziqu ezigunyazwe uMkhandlu Wemfundo Ephakeme.
Ngowezi-2004 INingizimu Afrika yaqala ukuvuselela uhlelo lwayo lwemfundo ephakeme esobala, ngokuhlanganisa nokushumanqa amanyuvesi amancane omphakathi kube izikhungweni ezinkulu, nokwetha kabusha zonke izikhungo zemfundo ephakeme ngokuthi "inyuvesi" (ngaphambilini kwakukhona izinhlobo eziningana zezikhungo zemfundo ephakeme). Amanyuvesi ezwe kanye "nama-technikons", ashumenqe namanye ngalokho angasekho, abaliwe ohlwini ekupheleni kwalesi sibhalwa.
