Howzit. Here is the userbadge that I created (and the syntax to create the badge). Am also liking your page. Cool. Derek J Moore (talk) 07:17, 17 uNhlolanja 2026 (UTC)Reply

Morning mfowethu.
This will come in handy. Ngiyabonga.
Are you going to attend the meetup this saturday? Im thinking of coming to see how things are done, i want to host a mini meetup in Joburg South. attending the 21 February event might help with inspiration. Fongcwele (talk) 07:37, 17 uNhlolanja 2026 (UTC)Reply
@FongcweleI'll see you there! Mini meetup is also a great idea. Derek J Moore (talk) 08:59, 17 uNhlolanja 2026 (UTC)Reply
I will come and learn, and go and implement what i learned. easy Fongcwele (talk) 09:29, 17 uNhlolanja 2026 (UTC)Reply
Another troubling issue, is that of admins from Poland blocking our new users on isizulu wikipedia, they dont offer solutions, or warnings, they just block IP adresses, even i as a trainer i dont know the reasons, becoz they are not offered.
This is makes people to be unmotivated, some one even suggested that its racist, or worse, its a weapon against our languages wikis. Fongcwele (talk) 09:33, 17 uNhlolanja 2026 (UTC)Reply
I'm glad you brought this up. I'm seeing a bit of poor behaviour by certain people. I experience it myself too. I think that we do need to discuss this and find ways in which to support each other and challenge this bad behaviour. Mofokeng always takes screenshots. That's how he collects evidence. Met with the Wikimedia people today. They told me about a cool easter egg activity. Its going live next week and vernacular versions are encouraged to join in. https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_25/Easter_egg_experiments/Collaboration_process Derek J Moore (talk) 13:47, 17 uNhlolanja 2026 (UTC)Reply
Howzit. Missed you at the meetup! Derek J Moore (talk) 19:56, 22 uNhlolanja 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Derek J Moore i wanted to come. but it's very far. and I didn't have transport. will connect online next time. Fongcwele (talk) 21:29, 22 uNhlolanja 2026 (UTC)Reply
Maybe we can do a deep south meetup Derek J Moore (talk) 06:49, 23 uNhlolanja 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Derek J Moore yeah, I think the chapter is only focused on two meetups. that's needs to change.
are you also going to the TUT SWiP workshop this week? Fongcwele (talk) 06:56, 23 uNhlolanja 2026 (UTC)Reply
Absolutely. I brought up the idea of a Durban Meetip and the board said No. Am going to be at TUT on Wednesday, Thursday and half of Friday. See you there? Derek J Moore (talk) 07:00, 23 uNhlolanja 2026 (UTC)Reply
Do users need permission from the board to meet up?
I wont be there, but i know colleagues who will be there, working towards creating TUT IsiZulu User Club. I don't think we need permission from the board to create the clubs, obviously they will say NO. Fongcwele (talk) 07:41, 23 uNhlolanja 2026 (UTC)Reply
Howzit. So pleased to connect with User:Sandlane today. He's doing some training the trainer at the TUT workshop. Derek J Moore (talk) 08:46, 25 uNhlolanja 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Derek J Moore yes, I know him, we are establishing a language based user group with him and others. IsiZulu Wikimedia User Group. Fongcwele (talk) 08:53, 25 uNhlolanja 2026 (UTC)Reply
