Ukubhebhetheka kwegciwane lomkhuhlane we-COVID-19 emhlabeni wonke jikelele, sekwenze ukuthi iminotho eminingi ivalwe, kube khona ukugula  nokufa kwabantu abaningi. Sekwenziwe imizamo eminingi ukugwema ukubhebhetheka kwaleli gciwane nokusabalala kwalo.

Abaphathi bezempilo basaqhubeka nokubheka izinsiza sokuhlola nokwelapha abathelelekile baphinde bathole ikhambi nomgomo ozolwa naleli gciwane, nathi sonke singazama ukugwema ukubhebhetheka kwalo. Singaligwema leli gciwane ngokungasebenzisi imali eningi noma ngaphandle kwemali ngokuthisishintshe indlela esenza ngayo izinto ukuze thina nemindeni yethu singatheleleki.

Ucwaningo luyaveza ukuthi indlela engamoshi mali ekwazi ukunqanda ukubhebhetheka nokuthelelana ngezifo ezifana nomkhuhlane we covid-19, ukujwayela ukugeza izandla ngensipho namanzi ompompi.[1][2][3] Kusho ukuthini ukujwayela ukugeza izandla na? Ongqondongqondo bezifo nezempilo bathi kumele uhlezi ugeza izandla:

  • Uma uphuma endlini yangasese.
  • Emva kokushintsha umntwana inabukeni.
  • Ngaphambi kokuba ufunze umntwana.
  • Ngaphambi kokulungisa ukudla nangemuva kokuthinta inyama eluhlaza, inhlanzi noma inyama yenkukhu.
  • Uma kade ukuthinta isilonda.
  • Uma uqeda ukuthimula, ukukhwehlela noma ukufinya.
  • Uma uqeda ukuthinta izilwane noma indle yazo.
  • Uma uqeda ukuthinta udoti.

Indlela yokugeza izandla

Kusobala ukuthi ugeza izandla ngensipho namanzi ompompi zikhathi zonke kungumkhuba obalulekile. Kodwa ke ukugezwa kwezandla kusebenza uma kwenziwe kahle. Ukuze  ugeze izandla  kahle ngendlela kufuneka:

  • Ugeze izandla zakho ngensipho namanzi ompompi njalo nje. Insipho ejwayelekile iyawenza nayo umsebenzi njengensipho ebulala amagciwane.  Ungasebenzisa umlotha esikhundleni sensiphouma insipho ingekho.
  • Enye indlela yokugeza izandla esebenzayo futhi eyonga amanzi ukusebenzisa uketshezi oluyisibulala magciwane (sanitizer) olunotshwala obungamaphesenti angama-60 okungenani uma lukhona. Uma amaphesenti ephezulu kusho ukuthi lolu ketshezi (sanitiser) lusebenza kakhulu. Lolu ketshezi lutholakala ezitolo zemithi nasezitolo zokudla, kodwa uma lungekho, insipho namanzi kwanele.
  • Hlikihla izandla zakho imizuzwana engama-20 okungenani. Gezisisa phakathi kweminwe, ingemuva kwezandla, izihlakala nangaphansi kwezinzipho.
  • Yakazisisa izandla zakho ngamanzi ompompi
  • Sula izandla zakho ngethawula elihlanzekile.[5]

Eminye imiphakathi ayinawo amanzi ompompi ahlanzekile. Okwamanje sibonile ukuthi ukusebenzisa amanzi ompompi ahlanzekile kubalulekile ekuvikeleni emagciwaneni angabonakali. Kulengxenye elandelayo sizobheka ukuthi kungeziwa njani uma amanzi ahlanzekile engekho.

Uma amanzi ahlanzekile engekho kungahlanzwa amanzi atholakala emadamini nasemifuleni ukuze kubulawe amagciwane angabonakali.Kafishane nje, ukuhlanzwa kwamanzi kungenziwa ngezindlela ezilandelayo:

  1. Ukukhushwa kodoti: Lokhu kusho ukukhipha udoti omkhulu ojwayele ukuba namagciwane angamaphesenti adlule kwangama-50 emanzini.
  2. Ukucwenga: kususa udoti omncanyana emanzini angcolile ojwayele ukuba namagciwane afika emaphesentini angama-90.
  3. Okokugcina ukubulala amagciwane asele ngesibulala magciwane.[6]
